Maria Jocelyn “Joy” Wong

Maria Jocelyn “Joy” Wong is Corporate Vice President at New York Life Insurance Company as head of its Supplier Diversity Program. Joy began her career with New York Life more than 25 years ago and promoted within the company to various positions with increasing responsibilities. Her prior roles included managing New York Life’s Corporate Dining Program, Strategic Sourcing, Corporate Travel, Corporate Card Program Management, and Budget and Financial Analysis.
Joy currently serves on the Board of the New York & New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council and an active member of the Financial Services Roundtable for Supplier Diversity, The Conference Board Supplier Diversity Leadership Council, and NGLCC Procurement and Corporate Advisory Council. She volunteers as a corporate mentor in the New York & New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council, National Minority Supplier Development Council, and National LGBT Chamber of Commerce’s mentorship programs.
In recognition of her work in supplier diversity, she has been recently awarded the 2020 New York and New Jersey Minority Supplier Development Council Advocate of the Year, 2019 Outstanding Women’s Business Advocate for Women Presidents’ Education Organization and included in the 2020 Best of the Best Champions of Diversity by Diversity Plus.
An avid volunteer, she even takes her husband and two children to join her in year-round volunteer commitments with various religious and non-profit organizations. Flowers, photography, food, and travel are her other passions.
