Category Leader rankings highlight key factors that small businesses could consider when assessing which software products may be right for them. These include:
- user input
- compatibility with other systems

- technical capabilities, and
- product security features.
Since Category Leaders are meant to represent the given category at large, the GetApp team uses their market experience and knowledge, existing market-based research, and small business software buyer needs analysis to assess an application’s suitability for that category.
